Engadi / Heromatic
I designed the touchscreen that controls the mixing of soils and chemicals in Engadi Costa Farm's greenhouses, along with its icons and device mockups.
What they needed
Engadi Costa Farm ran its greenhouses on old software that operators avoided using. It needed a touchscreen system, the Soil Mix System, to control in real time the substrate hoppers (coconut fiber, soils and compost), the dosing of up to 12 chemicals, the conveyor belts and the gates. It had to run in automatic or manual mode and save mix recipes.
What I did
I designed the whole interface, which is part of Heromatic, an automation system for greenhouses. The control screen is split into hoppers, chemicals, conveyors, and lines and gates, and each part shows clearly whether it is active, closed or processing. I drew a custom icon for each piece of greenhouse equipment and made mockups of the physical devices to present and document the system.
What came out of it
I delivered the Soil Mix System interface, the icon library and the device mockups.
